OUR TIMELINE OF EVENTS
BC Telephone and Mohawk Oil Contracts Won
Sometime around 1970 we win a contract to supply BC Telephone with all of their fleet graphics and start a supply agreement with Mohawk Oil for service station graphics that lasts until Husky buys them out in 2008.
Striping Kits for Subaru and Nissan
At our 13,000 square foot facility on Stainsbury Ave. in the Trout Lake area of East Vancouver, we start producing woodgrain and striping kits for the Japanese import car markets for Subaru and Nissan.
Calgary Light Rail Transit System Graphics Contract Won
We win the contract to supply reflective graphics to the new Light Rail Transit system being built in Calgary AB.
Purchasing of the Largest Thermal Die Cutter in Canada
We expand into motor home graphics and purchase the largest thermal die cutter ever sold in Canada at 36″ by 108″ for producing these graphic kits.
Dairyland, BC Hydro and BC Gas Fleet Contracts Won
We get the contract to supply graphics to the Dairyland fleet. 1987 we rebrand the BC Hydro fleet and the BC Gas vehicles.
Expansion to New 37,000 sq ft Location in Coquitlam
We move our operations to Coqutilam — this is quite a jump in our manufacturing space as the Fawcett Road plant is 37,000 square feet with a large bay for installing decals of tractor trailers.
Purchase of the First Wide-Format Scotchprint 2000 Digital Press in Canada
We purchase the first wide format Scotchprint 2000 digital press sold in Canada.
Full Wrap Advertising Comes to BC
We fully wrap two BC Transit trolly buses advertising BC Tel pagers. The trolly buses had to be towed to our Coquitlam plant for the decals to be installed.
The First Large Format Graphics in Canada for a Commercial Airliner
The first large format graphic in Canada for a commercial airliner is produced and applied to an Air Canada DC-9 for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
The First Outside Advertising on SkyTrain Units
Four cars on the Skytrain system are wrapped with advertising for the MetroTown mall. This is the first outside advertising on any SkyTrain units.
Expansion of and Investment in Wide-Format Equipment
We get serious about wide-format digital printing and purchase a 1.5m wide solvent inkjet Vutek printer and a 2m wide flatbed Vutek UV inkjet printer.
Expanding of our Digital Capacity with 3M Wide Printing
We expand our digital capacity with the purchase of a 3M wide Vutek solvent inkjet printer.
Raising the Bar for the 2010 Olympics Games
We supply and install graphics on 5400 cars, 500 buses and several buildings including the Richmond Speed Skating Oval for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
