Ampco Graphics was approached by the Vancouver Art Gallery in 2017 to help with an install job their current supplier was unable to install for them. It was a very detailed and meticulous install since the wall was not a flat surface but a textured rock surface. We were able to install within their time line which lead them to their next project which was one of the more challenging projects they had been involved with for the Takashi Murakami The Octopus Eats its Own Leg exhibit. We had a very tight timeline to work with and every known element to delay in the production and install but we were still able to make their timeline for the opening day.

Materials used for the Vancouver Art Gallery were Ultraflex Supreme Mesh, 3M IJ180CV3-10 with 8520 matte laminate, 3M IJ8150 optically clear vinyl.

The Vancouver Art Gallery is a very important part of the Downtown Vancouver Core. It is at the centre of Vancouver and visited by thousands of visitors every week.

Ampco Graphics worked with multiple artists to help with taking measurements, executing colour matching, printing and installing to the highest degree of precision. We have to work with multiple types of installers when working with the Vancouver Art Gallery due to various surfaces and equipment required.

From material selection through production and final installation the Ampco Graphics team is proud to deliver a complete one stop shop print experience for the Vancouver Art Gallery.
